Kitch-iti-Kipi

This is a view of the Kitch-iti-Kipi park that I visited last Labor Day. I really love the clear water there. Below is more info about this beautiful place.

Kitch-iti-kipi, also known as the Big Spring or the “Mirror of Heaven,” is a natural freshwater spring located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, USA. It is known for its crystal-clear water, which is so transparent that visitors can see more than 40 feet down to the bottom of the spring.

Kitch-iti-kipi is also known for its size, as it is one of the largest freshwater springs in Michigan, with a diameter of over 200 feet. Visitors can take a self-operated raft tour of the spring, which is suspended by cables and allows them to see the underwater features of the spring, including the fish and plant life.

In addition to its natural beauty and size, Kitch-iti-kipi is also significant to the indigenous cultures of the area, as it is believed to have played an important role in their spiritual traditions for centuries.
